Bass lessons at Progressive Music Center® are designed to offer students a wide range of options including fretless studies, playing a diverse range of styles, improvisation studies, notation/reading courses, instrumental technique and rhythm mechanics between drummer and bassist.
Our unique curriculums for drum and bass teaches rhythm section techniques, which is one of the most important factors for any student bassist to learn. This system includes playing with drum set students during lessons and in performances to use exercises and song examples to develop and strengthen timing and song structure.
Our students learn theory with strong emphasis on reading and charting. This will allow any student to develop a strong repertoire and give the skills needed to play in any style with confidence. As with any instruction program there is no previous knowledge of notation or sight reading needed to start bass lessons at Progressive Music Center®.
