Our Community
We not only work in our communities but we live and play here too. We go to local churches, eat in local restaurants and support other local businesses. We’re from all parts of the Triangle that includes Raleigh, Durham, Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, Wake Forest, Youngsville, Wendell, Zebulon, Selma and Garner. These towns are where we make our homes and we take pride in these areas. We know we live in a special place with great people, so we wanted to pass along some special places that we like. Feel free to tell us about your places so we can spread the word about good businesses and then others can enjoy them too. Email us and we’ll post it to our list below.
Solomon’s Restaurant on Capital Blvd. in Raleigh. Serving the best Mediterranean food you can find (and an awesome cheese burger and fries) you will love this restaurant! Stop in and say hello to Elias and his wife Sue and if you are on the other side of Raleigh around Six Forks Road be sure to stop in the Solomon’s location operated by Elias’s brother Victor.
Seaboard Cafe at Logan’s in downtown Raleigh. Go see Rick and his staff, sit back and relax while you enjoy one of the awesome sandwiches or burgers served up in this cool cafe. Make sure you browse the plants and other cool offerings at Logan’s before and after you eat. If you are into plants then you’ll love the selection.

Seaboard Cafe in Raleigh
Village Deli and Las Palmas at The Factory in Wake Forest. OK, so we’re partial since one of our shops is located at The Factory in Wake Forest (and we eat lunch at these two establishments at least twice a week), but the food is great and the staff at both are really friendly. Get the skirt steak tacos at Las Palmas and whatever the daily special at Village Deli.
Old Stage Nursery and Broadwell’s Nursery in Angier. It’s a drive but well worth it for price alone. Head through Garner and take Old Stage Road heading towards Harnett Co. In a little under 30 minutes you’ll come up on these two nurseries across the street from one another. It’s an amazing selection of some of the most popular plants, grasses, shrubs and trees, and a great place to get ball and burlap (B&B) trees so your landscape will look more mature in a hurry. Did we mention the prices?
Plant Delights Nursery in Garner. Ever bought a plant and wondered what it would look like in your garden or landscape in about 4 or 5 years. Will it get too big and crowd out your other plants, need to be cut down, dug up or moved altogether? If you are lucky enough to catch an Open House at Tony Avent’s Plant Delights you are in for a real treat. Plant Delight is an amazing nursery with some of the most dramatic gardens you will ever see, and everything is mature so you can have an idea of what to expect as the plants mature. Plant Delights has some
of the best Agave and hosta collections you can find anywhere, and if you see Tony try and stump him with a plant question.
Aubrey’s and Peedie’s Grill Wendell, NC. (Can you tell we love local food places?) Open Monday – Saturday 6 AM – 2 PM this is the place for burgers, hot dogs and fries (Can you tell we like good burgers and fries?). Bring your appetite an dgrab a few dogs all the way or one of their burgers cooked fresh on the grill. Yeah there’s other little places that serve great food from a grill, but the small town atmosphere of Wendell and the friendly folks will make you want to stay a spell. If you go bring cash since they don’t accept plastic
